How do I respond to quality issues identified in inspection?

As a SIGA Maintenance Repair Worker, you will be responsible for conducting quality inspections.

The following description of services is provided by Saskatchewan Indian Gaming Authority (SIGA).

SIGA Description of Services

Commercial Plumbing Services

The Work shall include, but not limited to, the following elements:

  • General plumbing services including inspection, testing, repair, and preventative maintenance
  • Removal and disposal of old plumbing parts
  • Supply and installation of necessary new plumbing parts
  • Scoping of main sewer lines
  • Emergency plumbing services as needed
Compliance
  • All work must comply with local, Provincial, and Federal codes and requirements
  • Must adhere to applicable CSA standards
Visual Inspections
  • Conduct visual inspections to ensure plumbing systems function within professional standards
  • Identify issues such as poor operation, leaks, safety hazards, code violations, physical damage, and general component condition

  • Use only CSA or UL Certified parts and equipment

  • Commercial Gas Water Heaters
  • Elongated Flushometer 4.8L Toilets
  • Exposed Toilet Flush Valves (Powered Proximity)
  • Exposed Urinal Flush Valves (Powered Proximity)
  • Flush Valve Floor Mounted Toilets
  • High Efficiency Grease Interceptors
  • Lavatory Proximity Faucets
  • Lavatory Wash Basins
  • Kitchen Faucets
  • Oil Detection Systems
  • One Handle Tub/Shower Valve Trims
  • Oval Countertop Sinks
  • Sensor-Operated Toilet Flush Valves
  • Sump Pumps
  • Thermostatic Mixing Valves
  • Toilets
  • Urinals
  • Wall Hung Basins
  • Wall Hydrants with Ceramic Discs
  • Water closets
  • Laundry tubs
  • Floor drains
Commercial Refrigerated Food Equipment Services

The Work shall include, but not limited to, the following elements:

Services Offered
  • General refrigeration equipment services including inspection, testing, repair, and preventative maintenance
  • Removal and disposal of old parts as required
  • Supply and installation of necessary new parts
  • Additional refrigeration services as identified by NLC Asset Protection Manager
Compliance
  • All work must comply with local, provincial, and Federal codes and requirements
  • Must adhere to applicable CSA standards
Visual Inspections
  • Conduct visual inspections to ensure refrigeration systems function within professional standards
  • Identify issues such as poor operation, leaks, safety hazards, physical damage, and general component condition
Parts Supply
  • Parts may be supplied through the service provider at cost plus, or by the casino’s Facilities Dept.
Materials
  • Use only CSA or UL Certified parts for maintenance services
Equipment
  • Walk-in coolers and freezers
  • Reach-in coolers (deli)
  • Refrigerators
  • Ice makers
  • Glass chillers
  • Other refrigerated equipment
Commercial HVAC Services

The work shall include, but not limited to, the following elements:

  • General HVAC inspection, repair, and preventative maintenance services
  • Emergency and seasonal HVAC services as needed
  • Engage with Building Management & Automation Systems
  • Provide inspection checklists and reports after each inspection
  • Halo Carbon Testing inspection
  • Verify Building Services Computer calibration at all end points
  • Perform additional HVAC related services as identified by NLC Protection Manager
Compliance
  • All work must comply with local, provincial, and Federal codes and requirements
  • Must adhere to applicable CSA standards
Visual and Mechanical Inspections
  • Conduct visual inspections of gas lines, heating elements/heat exchangers, evaporator and condenser coils, chimneys, and other components
  • Perform mechanical inspections of blower and combustion blower bearings, assembly, housing, motors, and belts
Materials and Parts Supply
  • Parts and materials may be supplied through the service provider at cost plus, or by the casino Facilities Dept.
  • Replacement of filters and belts is the responsibility of NLC Facilities Staff
  • Removal and disposal of old parts as required or necessary for the repair service
